Planet Wings Joins RECAP to Feed the Hungry on Thanksgiving!
The Planet Wings chain of restaurants has teamed up with the Regional Economic Community Action Program, Inc. (RECAP), a non-profit, anti-poverty organization, in an effort to help provide a Thanksgiving meal to lower-income individuals and families in Western Orange County who may otherwise go without.
“We are proud to support RECAP’s Food Pantry and its efforts to make Thanksgiving a happy day for those who don’t have the resources to do so on their own,” said Franco Fidanza, President of Planet Wings Enterprises. “We are prepared to do whatever we possibly can to help RECAP meet its goal of sending home a turkey with all of the fixings to hundreds of our neighbors that are struggling.”
In addition to making a significant donation of turkeys, Planet Wings has made a commitment to make freezer and storage space available in their Middletown stores. Mr. Fidanza is also offering to assist on RECAP’s distribution days by providing refrigerated trucks to secure the freshness of the turkeys. “Through the generosity of people in Orange County and the efforts of Franco Fidanza and his associates at Planet Wings, RECAP can meet its goal,” said Stephanie Capone, Director of RECAP’s Food Pantry.
