Do I have to run the business day-to-day? Can I be a passive investor?
Sometimes we receive applications from people looking for a passive investment or a part-time project. We're always thankful that these people are impressed to apply, but we have to let them know this isn't the franchise for them. We're looking for owner/operators with a full time focus for the Planet Wings® brand. Running a restaurant is physically and mentally demanding.

How long does the selection process take?
The selection process can be completed within 3 – 6 weeks. This allows you enough time to complete the telephone interviews, review the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), as well as visit us for Discovery Day.

Can I open more than one location?
Yes. We offer area development agreements for the right candidates. Keep in mind that since you cannot physically be in more than one place at the same time, you will need to build an effective management team that can successfully operate multiple locations.

What are the franchise fee? What does the franchise fee include?
A one-time payment of $25,000. The franchise fee covers the cost of training (not including your travel expenses) and getting your operation up and running.

How do I find a location?
We will provide you with site selection criteria and work with you to find a real estate professional in your area to help with the site selection process.

What exactly is a “Discovery Day”?
A Discovery Day is an event that takes place at our corporate headquarters, when we are close to having you join our franchise system. At Discovery Day, you’ll get a chance to meet our staff, tour one of our restaurants and hopefully answer any final questions you have about our system.

Does Planet Wings provide financing for my franchise?
We do not finance franchises. We will help you in the process of putting together a business plan that will be needed to secure a loan.

What is the potential profit of a Planet Wings?
We would encourage you as a potential franchisee to conduct due diligence that is sufficient to help you make a decision. Profitability of a restaurant is dependent upon many factors such as the ability of the franchisee to manage the business, control operating costs and drive sales volume.

The economy is in tough shape. Why would I want to open a Planet Wings® restaurant right now?
That’s a good question with many good answers. For one, real estate acquisition costs have dropped in many markets, Second, many restaurants are finding it easier to enlist qualified and motivated employees. Third, our locations typically cost less to open compared with most restaurant concepts. And finally, our price points are affordable, making our concept less susceptible to economic headwinds.
